China flood: 111 people dead, 167 missing
Beijing, Jul 26: Authorities had declared on Sunday, Jul 25 that at least 111 people were killed and over 160 people were missing at northwest China's Shaanxi province because of flood.
The rain-swollen Hanjiang river and its tributaries, had hit Shaanxi's Ankang, Hanzhong, and Shangluo cities from Jul 14 to Jul 19.
Another flood that began on Thursday, Jul 22 had worsened the catastrophe.
4.25 million people had been affected and 703,000 people were forced to be evacuated due to flood.
The floods also caused an estimated loss of 9.56 billion yuan.
