20-hr CRPF-Maoists encounter over
Ranchi, Jul 26: A massive anti-Naxal operation took place between security forces and Naxals in Bundu region of Jharkhand on Sunday, Jul 25, is finally over.
According to the police the operation has been on for over 20 hours.
Around 1,200 security personnel were engaged in the anti-Maoist operation in the forests and the Security forces claim to have busted a Naxals hideout in the densely forested area in Bundu region.
"The encounter has been going on for the last several hours but the details are yet to be received," the police sources said.
The forces from the state police, CRPF and the anti-Naxal Jaguar Force have been in action against Maoists in the forests near Bundu regiion.
Neyaz Ahmad DGP Jharkhand informed on early Monday morning that there were no reports of any casualties so far.
