German man with fake genitals barred from joining police

London, July 15 (ANI): A German man has been banned from joining the police because of his fake genitals.

According to rules, male cops must have "at least one functioning testicle".

Thomas Dahner, 35, had passed all physical tests and exams with ease but his bid to join the force hit the buffers when, during his medical examination, medics discovered that he underwent a sex change op 15 years ago.

"I could swim underwater for longer than anybody, climb better, and run faster," the Sun quoted him as saying.

"I could shoot better and I had better martial arts skills than anybody. I also know the law book inside out," he added.

Police bosses in Hessen, Germany, said that the rulebook states, "At least one functioning testicle is necessary to be a German policeman."

Dahner is now taking legal action. (ANI)
