UID Project to get all funds for smooth roll out: Pranab Mukherjee

New Delhi, July 12 (ANI): Following reports that the Central Government has decided to slash the budget for the Unique Identification (UID) Project by more than half, Union Finance Minister Pranab Mukherjee has clarified that Ministry of Finance is fully committed to expeditious implementation of the Unique Identification (UID) Project and all funds required for the smooth roll out of the Project by UID Authority will be provided

It was earlier reported in a section of the press that the budget for the UID Project was only Rs 3,000 crore from the estimated Rs 7,000 crore. (ANI)
