Play Marathi songs: Thackeray to FM channels

Mumbai, Jul 11: Bal Thackeray, Shiv Sena chief on Saturday instructed all private FM channels to play Marathi songs. he warned them an agitation if they did not start broadcasting Marathi songs within a week.

“It has been noticed that many FM channels do not play Marathi songs. They should start airing them in a week or else Sena will launch an agitation," he said.

He added that anyone gets up and betrays Maharashtra these days and radio stations are added to this list. He warned that any radio station not complying with his instruction would have to face 'Sena-style' agitation.

Bal Thackeray was supported by the musician Koustub Inamdar.
