Nitish meets Modi, Jaitley after ad controversy
Patna, Jul 11: Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar met Arun Jaitley and other BJP leaders on Sunday, Jul 11 at party's state unit chief Thakur's residence in Patna. Nitish met them in the wake of repairing the strain in their rapports happened after the ad controversy.
Nitish Kumar held discussions with Jaitley, Ananth Kumar, Sushil Kumar Modi, Dharmendra Pradhan and others for around two hours and cleared cold air remained between them after the advertisement controversy, informed a senior BJP leader.
"They met in a cordial atmosphere with a purpose to end all confusion rocked the coalition in the past two months," he said. He also added that the meeting is significant before assembly polls due later in 2010.
During the meeting, both the parties vowed to continue their rapports at both national and state level. They discussed joint poll strategies and seat sharing formula between them for the coming assembly polls in Bihar.
However, Arun Jaitley who described the meeting as a 'social' one, declined to elaborate on the issues been discussed.
