Maoists blow up mobile control room in Orissa
Bhubaneswar, Jul 11: A mobile tower control room of a private telecom company was blazed out by armed Maoists in Orissa's Malkangiri district, informed the police on Sunday, Jul 11.
The group of rebels consisted of more than 30 activists of outlawed Communist Party of India (Maoists), who set the control room on fire using landmine late on Saturday, Jun 10 at Nilakamberu village, reported a seniour police official to a news agency.
Malkangiri is 618 kilometres away from the Bhubaneswar, the capital of the state. Malkangiri is a Maoist-stronghold place in the Orissa. Maoists are dynamic in more than half of the 30 districts in Orissa.
