Dad vows to support LiLo in jail
London, July 11 (ANI): American singer and actress Lindsay Lohan's estranged father Michael has promised that he would stand by his daughter during her stint in the jail even though she has continued to ignore him.
Lohan was sentenced to 90 days imprisonment after she broke the rules of her probation stemming from her 2007 DUI arrest.
Michael had hoped that he would be able to convince the judge to send Lohan to rehab instead, after claiming that the 'Mean Girls' star suffers from an addiction of prescription pills, but his request to address the court was denied.
Michael has promised to be by her daughter's side when her sentence begins. Michael will be visiting her daily to keep her spirits up even though he had told news show Access Hollywood that Lindsay was not the daughter he had raised, reports The Daily Star.
"It's just a horrible experience. Twenty-three hours a day, she'll be locked up. I'm going to get her out of that cell as much as I can," he told UsMagazine.com.
"I've been trying to tell her how much I love her, that I'm behind her, that when she's ready, I'm ready to help her," he added. (ANI)
