Pak nationals nabbed in Zimbabwe charged for travelling with fake documents
Harare, July 8 (ANI): The two Pakistani nationals, who were arrested a couple of weeks ago in Zimbabwe while trying to sneak into South Africa, have been charged with using forged travel documents.
A local court here has charged Imran Muhammad, and his associate Warraich Chaudhry Pervez Ahmed of travelling with fake documents and asked them to appear before it again on July 22.
"They are charged with breaching the immigration laws, as they were each found with two travel documents," said Harare Police spokesman Wayne Bvudzijena.
Media reports claimed that at least one of the two accused were connected to the November 2008 Mumbai attacks, however, Bvudzijena clarified that the identity of the two men were yet to be ascertained by Pakistani agencies and it was too early to say whether they were associated with the three day terror seize in the Indian financial capital.
"We are still to get their identity from the police in Pakistan. The terrorism charges were misrepresentations in the media," The Daily Times quoted Bvudzijena, as saying. (ANI)
