Maoists slit throats, smashed heads of CRPF men

Raipur, Jul 1: A brutal detail on the killing of CRPF personnel in Narayanpur district of Chhattisgarh has raised questions if the ideological warfare of the Moaists and Naxals had gone too far.

The Naxals, who butchered 27 CRPF personnel, had reportedly slit open throats of and smashed the heads of some of the security men.

Preliminary post-mortem reports state that the security personnel were killed savagely.

"The Naxalites shot dead the CRPF personnel from a distance and later, they slit open the throats of three and smashed heads of two other jawans," a top police official told a news agency.

Post-mortem on the bodies of the killed CRPF men was done in Dr B R Ambedkar hospital.
