Disgraced 'hooker-loving' Spitzer plans NY mayor run for comeback

New York, July 1 (ANI): Disgraced former US politician Eliot Spitzer is set to co-host a primetime show on CNN, and sources have revealed that he hopes the TV gig will give his reputation a boost to run for mayor.

But upstate voters are less forgiving, and Spitzer, 51, knows he can't win a statewide office the sources said.

"He thinks that after he's on air a few months, he'll become a familiar face and the scandal will fade away," the New York Post quoted a source as saying.

"His plan is to run for mayor when Mike Bloomberg's third term ends in 2013," the source added. (ANI)
