Malaysia sets up committee for foreign businessmen
Kuala Lumpur, Jun 28: Malaysia sets up a committee to look into the complaints and problems of Indian businessmen and foreign workers in the country.
Indians and other foreign companies faced many problems when the when the Malaysian government banned the hiring of foreign workers in the services and manufacturing sectors.
The issue of the foreign workers was referred to the cabinet, which then decided to set up the committee, which will be chaired by Human Resources Minister, Dr S Subramaniam and Home Minister, Seri Hishammuddin Hussein.
"Indians in the restaurant and textile business were among those facing problems when the government banned the hiring of foreign workers in the services and manufacturing sectors," Dr Subramaniam said.
