Brits would rather tweet than eat: Survey

London, June 25 (ANI): A survey has found that Britons would rather spend more time on social networking sites than on sharing a meal with the family.

The survey showed that only 35 minutes a day is spent on eating, while more than three hours is taken up by Facebook and Twitter, emailing, phone texting and playing game consoles.he survey for breakfast biscuit brand Belvita revealed a staggering 36 percent said they spent less time eating than they did 10 or 20 years ago.

And more eat alone, as family mealtimes gradually disappear. One in two also admitted spending less than seven minutes on breakfast.

"Tweeting and social networking are being put ahead of getting a good start to the day," the Sun quoted Belvita marketing manager Nicola Wilkinson as saying. (ANI)
