North Korea offers three principles to ease tension on Korean Peninsula
New Delhi, June 15 (ANI): The reclusive Government of North Korea and the country's political parties and organizations have reportedly offered three principles, which they believe can ease the tension on the Korean Peninsula.
As per a joint statement issued on the 10th anniversary of the June 15 Joint Declaration issued by North and South Korean leaders, the principles are:
-- North Korea will respect and thoroughly implement the north-south joint declaration, the supreme program for reunification.
-- The political parties and organizations of the DPRK will join hands with whoever upholds and supports the north-south joint declaration ... but never pardon those who negate, defile and violate it.
-- The United States should not obstruct the implementation of the joint declaration nor interfere in the issue and the inter-Korean relations.
The June 15 Joint Declaration represented all the agreements reached between the DPRK and South Korea, Xinhua quoted the statement, as saying.
The statement appealed to the international community to positively support and encourage the efforts to uphold and implement the joint declaration as early as possible. (ANI)
