Zardari, a US national who suffers from depression, diabetes, claims US database website

Washington, Jun.14 (ANI): In what could probably add to Pakistan President Asif Ali Zardari's string of troubles, a US database website has declared him as an American national.

The website- Noteable Names Database (NNDB), which claims to contain details of over 35,000 prominent world personalities described Zardari as a US civilian of Asian/Indian race.

Apart from his family background and other details, the website also claimed that the Pakistan President suffers from diabetes and is a patient of depression.

Interestingly, the same database website describes former Pakistan Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto, Zardari's wife, as a Pakistani civilian of Asian ethnicity.

The website mentions that it judges the 'nationality' of a person with which he or she is most associated with.

"Nationality is the country with which the person is most associated with-particularly at the time that person flourished at his or her peak. It is not necessarily the country of birth, the country of death, or citizenship. We will illustrate with some examples- Jesus Christ was born in Palestine. At the time, Palestine was under control of the Roman Empire. His nationality is Ancient Rome," the website states under its 'About us' page.

And, if the information about Zardari is true, his presidential election could be challenged in a court of law for concealing his original nationality, The News reported. (ANI)
