Pak to take up major issues with India: Gilani
Lahore, Jun 13: Yousuf Raza Gilani, Pak Prime Minister said that Pakistan will take up all the issues with India, including water, terrorism and Kashmir, in the upcoming meeting of foreign ministers of the two nations.
"All the issues including terrorism, water and Kashmir will be discussed with India," Gilani informed the media. He added that Pakistan wants peaceful rapports with the neighbouring countries including India.
"In my meeting with Indian prime minister Manmohan Singh in Thimpu I had told him that wars are no solution to any problem. We will have to talk on all issues," Gilani said.
Gilani revealed that there was no need to launch an operation in South Punjab, at present. "We have ability and will to fight terrorists and we acted wherever the government was challenged."
He said that he did not see the government's writ being challenged in south Punjab. Rehman Malik had hinted at the army operation in South Punjab after the Lahore-mosques-attack which left 95 people dead. Rehman's comment had annoyed the Pakistan Muslim League (Navaz) government.
