Buy a Nano directly from a showroom from Aug 2010

Panaji, Jun 10: Thanks to the new manufacturing plant at Sanand, buying Tata Nano will become easier as the customers need not worry about advance booking and can just buy the world's cheapest car directly from showrooms starting from Aug 2010.

"From this August-September, customers will be able to walk into our showroom and drive out in a Nano," said Manoj Arora, senior manager, Tata Motors while speaking to reporters here on Wednesday, Jun 9 during the Tata Nano's 'Superdrive' event.

The official added that the manufacturing facility at Sanand, Gujarat, which was inaugurated by Chief Minister Narendra Modi on Jun 2, will help the company deliver cars faster.

"Sananad facility can manufacture 2.5 lakh units per annum," he said.

Mr Arora also informed that the company had 'almost finished' the commitment made during the first lot of booking.

Since its launch in 2009, 35,000 Nanos are already running on Indian roads.
