10 NATO soldiers killed in Afghanistan

Kabul, Jun 8: Ten NATO soldiers were killed in Afghanistan in a single day, reported the spokesman for the International Security Assistance Force on Monday, Jun 7.

The report said that five among the soldiers died in an explosion as an improvised explosive device (IED) blasted in eastern Afghanistan. One died in a gunfire and that also happened in the east. Another man was killed in an explosion in the south.

The military had announced three deaths including one American, who were killed in separate shooting and bomb attacks in the southern Afghanistan, where much of Afghan's unrest is taking place.

Afghan troops, US military and NATO are set on for their war against Taliban, in the southern province of Kandahar. The total foreign troop numbers in the nation will be around 1,50,000 by Aug, 2010.
