3G auction: Centre's revenue to cross Rs 1 lakh cr
New Delhi, Jun 8: The government is set to make more than Rs 1 lakh crore in the sale of 3G spectrum and broadband wireless access (BWA) even as the bidding process continues.
On Monday, Jun 7, the twelfth day of the bidding, a pan-India bid for Broadband Wireless Access (BWA) BWA touched Rs 10,652 crore . This means that the government will earn Rs 31,956 crore just from the sale of BWA spectrum.
The government has already earned Rs 67,719 crore from the sale of 3G spectrum alone.
With the bidding touching new heights, the revenue that the Centre had earned as of Monday, Jun 8 stood at Rs 99,675 crore.
