Capital punishment for a rapist in Iran
Tehran, May 27: Iran has hanged the suspect of a rape case,Jamshid Mir, on Thursday, May 27.
Jamshid Mir, was already imprisoned in the southeastern city of Zahedan.
He is the 68th person who was sentenced to death in Iran so far in this year. More than 270 people were hanged last year.
Crimes like murder, armed robbery, rape, adultery and drug trafficking are all punishable by death in Iran.
