Ex-IB Official denied Visa of Canada

Ottawa,May 26: In a major embarrassment caused to the integrity of Indian Security agency IB ( Intelligence Bureau ) Canadian Embassy has denied an ex- IB official SS Sindhu on the grounds of Involvement of IB in terrorist activities.

Canada has denied visa to a retired Intelligence Bureau (IB) official of deputy director rank, prompting an angry reaction by the Indian external affairs ministry.

This is the third case of visa denial to an Indian official in past few weeks.The Canadian high commission earlier denied visa to a retired Border Security Force (BSF) personnel for being associated with a group accused of human rights violation.

Canada had also denied visa to a retired BSF head constable, calling the BSF a 'notoriously violent force'.
