London, May 23 (ANI): Jobless Laura Hall, 20, the girl banned from every pub in Britain, has for the first time talked about her shocking scale of drinking - eight pints of lager, a bottle of white wine and a dozen vodka shots every night.

Hall reveals that she often flouts her pub ban by drinking in towns where she is not known, reports The Mirror.

The first person in Britain to receive a nationwide "booze Asbo", Hall laid bare details of how she has fought a losing battle with her addiction since the age of 13.

She says: "I want to stop so much but I can't. Now I've given up on ever changing. I just go to pubs where no one knows me.

"I was in the beer garden of a country pub just the other day. I wrapped a scarf round my neck and pulled it up over my mouth and chin. I know I'm a nightmare when I've had a drink but once I start I can't stop. I've been asked so many times why I do it, but I just don't know."

Her mum Mary says: "She's ruining our lives and her own but she's our daughter and our flesh and blood. We can't bring ourselves to cast her out. It's heartbreaking. Some people might think we've encouraged her to drink or that we're drinkers. But that couldn't be further from the truth.

"Laura has always been loved and supported. I have no idea why she has gone off the rails. All I do know is that we have tried everything to help her but nothing has worked."

Hall's relationship with alcohol started when, aged 13, she had her first taste of drink on a family holiday in Ibiza.

She recalls: "We went with my aunt and uncle and cousins. I was the oldest of the children and was allowed to be up later than the others and sit with the adults having a drink at night. I was allowed to have a glass of wine and remember -feeling really grown up.

"It was around the time I started going to house parties with friends. There was always alcopops or wine. Most of my mates tried them but were a bit scared of getting drunk. I was the opposite. I loved the feeling of being tipsy and light-headed." (ANI)
