HP recalls notebook batteries
Washington, May 21: Leading PC maker, Hewlett-Packard Co (HP) has recalled notebook computer batteries, which tend to overheat.
In a statement, HP said informed that the affected battery packs were distributed worldwide in notebook computers manufactured between Aug 2007 and May 2008.
As they overheat, the batteries pose a fire hazard.
The company statement added that the customers will be given a free replacement on the return of the faulty batteries.
