Paintings of Piccaso stolen from Museum in Paris
Paris, May 20: The classic works of artists such as Picasso and others have been stolen from the National Museum of Modern Art in Paris by the thieves as reported by the France Info radio on Thursday, May 20.
Other works missing include paintings by Henri Matisse, Georges Braque, Fernand Leger and Amedeo Modigliani. The thieves entered the museum through the window.
Initial reports suggests that the value of the paintings could be in hundreds of millions of euros. If confirmed, it would make it one of the biggest art heists in history.
Though the museum authorities have not confirmed the reports the investigatine agency Organized Crime Brigade (BRB) is handling the investigation.
