Fighting in Afghan Bagram military base
Kabul, May 19: The fighting continues in Afghanistan as twenty Taliban suicide bombers launched an attack on the Bagram military base on Wednesday, May 19.
The telephonic information was given to Xinhua news agency by the spokesman of Taliban insurgent group, Zabihullah Mujahid. He was talking from an unidentified location.
He also informed that four of the attackers have exploded themselves close to the place. The fight between the militants and the International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) started around 5:00 pm, local time. He also told that the clash was going on at the moment, leaving seven militants killed.
Bagram is the main military base 50 km north of Kabul, the capital city of Afghanistan. It was operated by United States Army combat group, under the framework of ISAF.
The military base detention centre holds around 800 Taliban and al Qaeda terror suspects.
