Fireworks explosion kills three in Uttar Pradesh

Rampur, May 5 (ANI): At least three people were killed and ten others injured after a bundle of fireworks exploded in a house-turned-firework factory in Uttar Pradesh's Rampur District on Tuesday.

The incident took place in Khata Nagaria village, which falls under the jurisdiction of the Milak police station.

Several other houses were also damaged by the explosion.

District Magistrate T N Singh said the family had a valid license for manufacturing crackers and had got an order for a wedding.

The dead have been identified as Sagir Ahmed, Shamim and eight-year-old Nabi.

The injured are undergoing treatment at a local hospital. (ANI)
