NAFED MD Dr Bose named Chairman of CDB
New Delhi, Apr 22: NAFED Managing Director Dr C V Ananda Bose has been named the chairman of the Coconut Development Board (CDB).
The 1977-batch IAS officer of the Kerala cadre, who will be taking over the new post from Ms Minnie Mattew, will be holding the new post concurrently with his post at NAFED.
Dr Bose brings to the table vast administrative experience as his undertakings include File to Field and Gramotsava, a model that was adopted by the Kerala Government, Easy Markets scheme and Farm Gate to Homegate to control price rise.
He has also held many prestigious posts in the past including Kollam District Collector, Principal Secretary to the state chief minister, Additional Chief Secretary and Chairman, Atomic Energy Education Society.
CDB is a statutory body under the Agriculture Ministry which was established to integrate development of coconut cultivation and industry in India.
