Jaswant's book to be released in Pak on Apr 14
Islamabad, Apr 10: Former External Affairs Minister Jaswant Singh will release his controversial book 'Jinnah: India-Partition-Independence' in Islamabad on Apr 14.
Singh's book on Pakistan's founder Muhammad Ali Jinnah, which sparked off controversy in India will be release at Islamabad Club.
The ceremony has been arranged by Oxford University Press, the book's publisher in Pakistan.
During his visit to Pakistan, in connection with the release of the book, Singh is likely to participate in events in other cities, including Karachi, as well.
Mr Books, one of Islamabad's most popular book stores had earlier planned to receive Singh in Islamabad, but the latter's plan to Pakistan was cancelled as the book was yet to be published at that time.
However, pirated copies of the book made its way to the market, which eventually resulted in Oxford University Press filing a police complaint.
Several book store owners were arrested by the police in connection with the matter.
In his book, Singh said that Jinnah was not solely responsible for the partition of India and Pakistan in 1947.
The book drew the ire of the BJP leaders leading to Singh's expulsion from the party.
