Koirala, a key architect of peace in Nepal: Yoga Guru Ramdev
Kathmandu, Mar 28 (ANI): Yoga guru Baba Ramdev has termed former Nepalese Prime Minister Girija Prasad Koirala as the champion of democracy in the Himalayan nation.
Talking to reporters here after visiting the residence of Koirala, Ramdev said: "From the establishment of democracy in Nepal, from economic reforms to the efforts in making Nepal a peace loving, rich and traditional country, he (Girija Prasad Koirala) contributed a lot. An era was known as Koirala's era in Nepal. He spread the Nepalese worldwide."
Ramdev visited Koirala's residence at the invitation of Nepalese Deputy Prime Minister Sujata Koirala to take part in the late premier's 13th day rituals.
Ramdev also spoke about other issues, including the political situation in Nepal.emocracy in Nepal will be strong if the 25 parties in Nepal come together for the greater good of the country," he said.
Ramdev arrived here on Friday for the six-day Yoga Science Camp-2010 being held at Tundikhel.
The camp is projecting the message, 'Perform Yoga, Stay fit' and 'Healthy Nepal, Healthy World'.
This is Ramdev's second yoga camp in Kathmandu. (ANI)
