CBI allows NIA to probe terror network in Kerala
Kochi, Mar 24: The CBI Special court has given its consent to the National Investigation Agency to investigate the larger conspiracy behind the recruitment of youths from Kerala for terrorists groups in Kashmir.
Judge S Vijaykumar accepted NIA plea to probe further into the conspiracy behind the recruiment of youth from the state for terror activities.
In its plea the NIA which is investigating the various terror related case in Kerala, sought permission to investigate the conspiracy beyond the state to confirm its findings.
The agency added that it requires further investigation into the source of the funds and the training camps and has gathered information on the existence of sleeper cells.
The Court has remanded seven accused, out of 23 remanded to judicial custody till Apr 6. Four killed in Kashmir during an encounter with security forces in Oct 2008.
