Jammu: 4 held for death of baby during protests
Jammu, Mar 1: Four people have been arrested in connection with the death of a 11-day-old baby in Jammu Kashmir's Baramulla district.
The baby boy died after stone throwing protestors stopped the vehicle in which the infant was being taken to a hospital for health check up.
State Law and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Ali Mohmmad Sagar said, "We have arrested four persons including the main accused in connection with the stone pelting incident at Chakla- Baramulla in North Kashmir on Jan 22."
The arrested were identified as main accused Tahir Ahmed Salay, Bilal Ahmed, Akhtar Hussain Bhat and Mohammad Ramzan Siraj.
All the accused faced murder charges and statements of 15 eye witnesses were recorded in this regard, the minister added.
