Sydney priest says online masturbation was part of fantasy world

Melbourne, Feb 24 (ANI): A Sydney priest has told a court that his online masturbating act was all part of a fantasy world.

Robert MacGregor Fuller, who served for some six years at All Saints church in the Sydney suburb of Liverpool, used a webcam to broadcast himself masturbating to a person he believed was a 13-year-old.

The 54-year-old has pleaded guilty to grooming and procuring a child under the age of 16.

The priest performed the act during online chat sessions with a police officer posing as a 13-year-old girl.

However, Fuller told his sentencing hearing at Parramatta District Court the chat rooms were part of a fantasy world.

"There's not necessarily any truth in what they say. It's a fantasy, in a sense," News.com.au quoted Fuller as telling the court.

"It's a game, it's a fantasy.

"Unless you see them or meet them you don't know. It's the image they presented and I went on with it," he added.

Fuller was arrested on August 13 in a car park in Parramatta where he allegedly planned to meet the teenage girl for sex.

He was immediately suspended by the Archdiocese of Sydney. (ANI)
