V Ravi injured in Liberia, Nigeria visit cancelled
Abuja, Feb 5: Minister of Overseas Affairs Vayalar Ravi, who met with an accident during his visit to Liberia, is reportedly out of danger.
However, his visit to Nigeria has been cancelled, Mahesh Sachdev, the Indian High Commissioner to Nigeria informed.
V Ravi was injured when a speeding driver crashed into Ravi's car when he was on his way to board a flight to Nigeria. Shamma Jain, ambassador to Cote d'Ivoire was also injured in the mishap.
He was expected to arrive in Nigeria on Friday, Feb 5.
Before the accident, Ravi met with Liberian officials on further strengthening the technical and economic cooperation between the two countries.
The Indian minister's visit was part of his nine day tour of African countries including Ghana, Tanzania, Kenya, Liberia and Nigeria.
