Women banned from living alone in rented flats in 'unsafe' Peshawar
Peshawar, Jan 11(ANI): The Peshawar district administration has barred women from living alone in rented houses and flats owing to the rising incidents of crime against them in the provincial capital.
The orders were issued after murders of 26 women were registered in 2009, who were living alone in rented houses and flats situated in different parts of the provincial metropolis.
According to reports, property dealers and owners of housing units in the district have also been asked to strictly adhere to the orders failing which strict action will be taken against them.(ANI)
