New York, Jan 5 (ANI): Businessman Jack Greenberg loved his pals so much that he wanted them to have fun on his birthday even after he died on Feb. 9, 2008.

And the Cincinnati businessman kept aside 1.5million dollars in his will so that his friends could party on his birthday.

"He figured that he enjoyed each of them, so they'd probably enjoy each other as well...He wanted to perpetuate the friendship over time," the New York Daily News quoted Greenberg's lawyer Irwin Katzman, as telling the Cincinnati Enquirer.

On Saturday, which would have been Greenberg's 84th birthday, limos ferried almost three dozen partygoers to the Jewish Love Brothers Cemetery.

Once all guests reached the venue, Katzman read a letter from Greenberg. The invitees placed stones on Greenberg's grave according to a Jewish tradition and a group picture was snapped.

And then all left for a local hotel to celebrate.

Before everyone left, each guest received 1,500dollars as a gift.

Katzman said: "If he's looking down at the cemetery in Price Hill, he'd be pleased."

According to Katzman, Greenberg left detailed instructions on who should be invited to his birthday parties and how the money of the Jack M. Greenberg Party Trust money was to be spent.

The late entrepreneur also wanted the group photo to be taken at exactly 12:30 p.m. while partygoers had to leave for festivities at a hotel across the Ohio River in Covington, at 12:35 p.m.

Greenberg wanted everything to be planned because he believed that "time is of the essence." (ANI)
