Meet Tory hopeful Norsheen Bhatti, a '£260-an-hour belly dancer'

London, Dec 29 (ANI): When she's not planning her political career as an MP, Norsheen Bhatti is out strutting her stuff - as a 260-pounds-an-hour belly dancer.

The 33-year-old Tory hopeful Bhatti regularly appears at posh London restaurants and exclusive parties in revealing sequinned outfits.

Bhatti, a former Lib Dem candidate for Chelsea and Fulham, embarrassed leader Nick Clegg when Tory chairman Eric Pickles recruited her earlier this year.

She was also welcomed to the party by David Cameron at the party's spring conference in April.

However, it is unclear whether the Tory leader would stomach his new recruit's exotic part-time job.

"This will come as a huge shock. Norsheen is a very beautiful woman and a very talented politician," the Mirror quoted a source as saying.

"But it's hard to imagine her wearing next to nothing gyrating in front of a crowd.

"How can any politician be taken seriously when voters know they are making money by dancing at parties for the public?" the source added.

Originally from Birmingham, the prospective parliamentary candidate for Stoke-on-Trent Central, now lives in south west London.

A picture advertising her talents is posted on website Glam Slam Entertainments - alongside bunny girls, podium dancers, tequila shot girls and burlesque performers.

The site offers popular Bhatti for 'performance' and 'mingle' dancing at a rate of 200 pounds for a 30-minute set or 260 pounds for two sets. (ANI)
