Yemen: Airstrike kills 30 al Qaeda militants

Sanaa, Dec 24: Thirty al Qaeda militants, who planning an attack on Yemen, were killed in a airstrike, a security official said on Thursday, Dec 24.

The attacks took place as the militants were gathered for a meeting, he said.

Two top al Qaeda members in the Arabian peninsula were also killed in the airstrike, said the official, who asked not to be identified.

Yemen has intensified its campaign against al Qaeda militants over recent weeks.
