IIM prof murder case solved; driver admits crime
Indore, Dec 22: Barely hours after taking the driver of the murdered IIM-Indore professor into custody, the Madhya Pradesh police has cracked open the case.
The 32-year-old Amrita Pancholi, whose body was found on Friday, Dec 18 morning, was allegedly killed by the driver Anil Patel for her ATM card.
An NDTV report on the latest development in the case say that the driver has confessed to the crime.
Patel was tempted to steal the professor's ATM card as he reckoned that being a single woman, Pancholi must have a huge bank account.
He allegedly hid in Pancholi's house in the night to steal the professor's ATM card once she fell asleep.
When he started going through her purse, Pancholi woke up and started shouting for help.
The accused then reportedly tried to force her to reveal the pin for her ATM card. But when she refused, he stabbed her.
