'Victorian Fritzl' pleads guilty to incest

Melbourne, Dec 18 (ANI): A Victorian man who fathered four children by his daughter has pleaded guilty to 13 charges including incest.

The Victorian County Court heard the Gippsland man, aged in his sixties, sexually abused his daughter over thirty years, beginning in the 1970s, reports News.com.au.

The man - who cannot be named for legal reasons - appeared in the County Court via videolink, and will return to court for a plea hearing next year.

He pleaded guilty to 10 counts of incest, two of indecently assaulting a girl under 16 and one of common law assault.

He has been in custody since being charged.

The case maybe likened to that of Josef Fritzl, the 73-year-old Austrian who was sentenced to life imprisonment for raping and imprisoning his daughter for 24 years and fathering seven children with her. (ANI)
