Bomb targets mosque in Pakistan, five killed
Islamabad, Dec 18: At least five people were killed and 28 others injured, when a bomb exploded inside mosque in police headquarters in north-western Pakistan on Friday, Dec 18.
"The bomb blast took place inside a mosque in police headquarters. At least five people have been killed and more than 28 injured," local police chief Mumtaz Zarin was quoted by news agency as saying.
"We are investigating the nature of the blast -- that is, whether it was a suicide attack or planted bomb," he said, adding that the explosion was huge.
Islamist militants have staged a string of attacks against Pakistani security forces in recent months.
