26/11 case: Kasab denies all charges
Mumbai, Dec 18: In a dramatic twist to the 26/11 terror case, Ajmal Amir Kasab, the lone attacker captured in Mumbai, on Friday, Dec 18, retracted his statement in the trial court.
Kasab denied all the charges against him and told the court that his earlier statement had been given under pressure.
Kasab was scheduled to give a statement on evidence introduced against him by the prosecution for his alleged role in the 26/11 terror attacks.
On Wednesday, Dec 16, the prosecution had closed its case, after hearing around six hundred witnesses for a period of over seven months.
Ealier, Kasab had made three confessions after his arrest. He had admitted his guilt in front of the police and before a magistrate that will be taken into account as evidence. Kasab had also accepted his guilt in the court.
