Shopian woman shot dead by militants
Srinagar, Dec 16: A 20-year-old woman was shot dead on Tuesday, Dec 15 by militants in Shopian district of Kashmir.
Militants reportedly barged into the house at 7.30 pm and shot Sheeraza Akhtar at a point blank range in front of her father Mohd Maqbool Mir.
Akhtar sustained injuries in her abdomen and chest.
Motive behind the murder is yet to be determined.
Akhtar's murder makes her the fifth women to die in the hands of militants in Kashmir.
