Malaysian cops nab 10 of their own for illegal activities in nightclub raid

Kuala Lumpur, Dec 8 (ANI): Malaysian policemen from the Johor narcotics division were shocked to discover that out of the 200 people nabbed during a raid on an entertainment outlet, 10 were their own colleagues.

According to the China Press, the 10 policemen, who were off-duty, were made to undergo urine tests, which emerged negative, reports the Star Online.

The police are now trying to determine why they were at the premises.

Johor police chief Deputy Comm Datuk Mohd Mokhtar Mohd Shariff said that according to their standing orders, policemen were not supposed to patronise nightspots after working hours.

He said the police disciplinary board would take action if any of their men were found to be involved in illegal activities. (ANI)
