Sufi Muhammad's house in Lower Dir blown up by Pak army

Islamabad, Oct.18 (ANI): Pakistani security forces on Saturday blasted a house belonging to the Tanzim Nifaz Shariat-e-Mohammadi (TNSM) chief Sufi Muhammad in Kumbar area of the North West Frontier Province's (NWFP) Lower Dir District.

According to sources, the five-room house, which was abandoned by Muhammad some time ago, was blown up with explosives.

A television cameraman was also injured in the blast while filming the explosion, The News reports.

Muhammad, along with his family, had shifted to Peshawar following the launch of the military offensive in the region earlier this year.

Muhammad and his three sons are currently in police custody.

The three men were arrested along with their father, from their residence in Peshawar on July 22.

They were later sent to prison under the provision of the Maintenance of Public Order law, which allows people to be detained without charges being filed against them. (ANI)
