421,000 Chinese share same name meaning 'National Day'!
New Delhi, October 7 (ANI): More than 421,000 people in China have the same name "Guoqing," which when translated means 'National Day', according to government data.
The data released by the National Citizen Identity Information Center under the Ministry of Public Security showed that the capital Beijing alone saw 6,600 registrations under the name.
Records also revealed that as many as 168 citizens were born on October 1, 1949, the day People's Republic of China was founded, reports the China Daily.
Most of the Chinese, named "Guoqing", were born in the 1960s and the 1970s, with more than 80,000 in each decade.
But the popular name took a dip with only 29,782 kids under 10-year-old named "Guoqing" since 2000. (ANI)
