Musharraf says his guess is as good as anybody's over Osama bin Laden's whereabouts
Lahore, Oct.6 (ANI): Former Pakistan President General Pervez Musharraf has said that he has no idea where the Al-Qaeda chief Osama bin Laden is hiding.
Musharraf, who is currently on a lecture tour of the US, replying to a question that whether he believed Laden was hiding in the rough terrains of Pakistan's lawless tribal region, said: "Your guess is as good or as bad as mine. Although Al Qaeda is more a symbol now."
Commenting on the US led 'war on terror' in Afghanistan, he said the Obama Administration must continue its operations in Afghanistan to ensure that the extremists there are rooted out.
"It would be 'disastrous' for the US to pull out of Afghanistan prematurely," The USA Today quoted Musharraf, as saying.
He, however, refused to set a time frame the allied forces would need to stabilize Afghanistan.
"We need to obtain objectives. When we lay down timing, it becomes very counterproductive," Musharraf said. (ANI)
