Iran test-fires long range missile Shahab-3
Tehran, Sep 28: Amid the increased tension after the revelation that Iran was building a second uranium enrichment plant, the country went ahead and test fired a long range missile, Shahab-3 .
While the UN nuclear watchdog on Friday, Sep 25 disclosed that the Islamic republic was building a second uranium enrichment plant, the Revolutionary Guards on Sunday, Sep 27 launched the missile which could hit targets in Israel.
The Guards reportedly launched the missile manoeuvres marking 'Sacred Defence' week, which marks the start of the eight-year Iran-Iraq war in the 1980s.
According to the state-owned English news channel, Press TV, the Guards fired several short and medium-range missiles, some with multiple warheads.
The news channel on Monday, Sep 28 also broadcasted the video of Shahab-3 being fired in desert terrain.
