Five killed, 20 injured in suicide attack on police station in NWFP

Islamabad, Sep.26 (ANI): At least five persons were killed and 20 others injured in a suicide strike in Bannu on Saturday.

According to television reports, the attackers targeted a police station.

Attackers crashed a mini-truck loaded with explosives into the police station building destroying it completely.

Eye witnesses said the blast was so powerful that it created an eight-feet deep crater on the attack site.

The casualties are expected to rise as several injured policemen are stated to be in critical condition, The News reported.

No terrorist group has claimed the responsibility for the attack, and relief and rescue work at the blast site were still on till the reports last filtered in. (ANI)
