Did Obama hold Sarah Brown's hand to repudiate snub claims?

Pittsburgh, Sep. 26 (ANI): Flouting claims of a lukewarm relationship between the US President and British PM, Barack Obama held hands with Gordon Brown's wife Sarah when they met in Pittsburgh, US.

The Browns, Obama and wife Michelle joked and air-kissed to show that the US-Britain diplomatic relationship is still alive.

The Brown-Obama meet comes as a surprise following reports that 10, Downing Street had failed five times to arrange talks between the leaders.

Brown said his agendas for the G20 meet at Pittsburgh, that include tackling climate change, ridding the world of nuclear weapons, getting Iran into line, smashing terrorism and crushing the Taliban, had kept him preoccupied during the meet.

"Britain is at the heart of dealing with these issues. I have been having lots of talks with President Obama," The Sun quoted Brown, as saying.

On Friday, world leaders hailed the 1trillion package they put together in April to save the global economy.

Brown and co predicted world growth of three per cent next year, but warned that Britain was not yet through the slump and pledged to keep cash flowing to secure a revival. (ANI)
