Television voted Greatest Household Gadget Ever
London, Sept 25 (ANI): Television has been voted the greatest household gadget ever made in a new UK poll.
Eight out of 10 women surveyed in The Sheilas' Wheels Home Insurance study said they couldn't live without TV.
The second place went to microwave followed by vacuum cleaner at third.
Six out of ten women said they'd be lost without their microwave and six out of ten also of expressing a love for the vacuum cleaner.
Hairdryer and the kettle wrapped up the top five, reports the Telegraph.
DVD player and hair straighteners also made it to the list of greatest household gadgets.
More than half of women said DVD players are one of the best inventions, and 53 per cent reckoned hair straighteners are almost as important to the beauty regime as hair dryers.
Mobile telephones, landline telephones and laptops also feature highly on the list of greatest gadgets.
